Incense is made from natural plant materials and essential oils, which release fragrant smoke when you burn it. SHAPES:

Core stick: This is made from a bamboo core covered with incense material.

Cone: The cone shape was invented in the 1800s in Japan. It does not have core support and it burns relatively fast.

Dhoop: This is a solid stick of incense and can be broken into the desired size for burning.
