The Design:

The hand gesture in this design is Kalesvara Mudra, a hand gesture used to calm the mind and take control over thoughts and emotions. Mudras help us direct the flow of prana or energy within our body, and each yoga mudra has a particular focus or symbolism. Kala means “time” and Ishvara means “Lord” or “God”. This mudra is dedicated to Kalesvara, the Lord of Time. Kalesvara Mudra, therefore, guides us to contemplate death, time, and our behaviors in life. One great benefit of this mudra is to get rid of the habit of procrastination. The mantra practiced with Kalesvara is AUM, also known as OM as the more modern version.
